We are seeking high calibre, self-motivated, proactive individuals based in Melbourne to supervise and manage construction projects in the greater Melbourne area. Estimating will also be required from time to time and there is scope to tailor the role for the right candidate so that they may grow with the company. The position involves the following:

·    Overseeing budget cost planning, issuing PO's, forecasting and ensuring project completion is within set budgets and timelines

·    Review and interpretation of various drawings and specifications

·    Preparation and communication of work schedules (critical)

·    Site visits to make decisions concerning equipment needs, sequence of operations, crew size, and physical constraints of the site

·    Managing a range of projects concurrently, across the Commercial and Domestic sectors

·    Proactively utilising our job management software to provide regular, concise updates as well as keeping the management team informed

·    Undertaking pre-commencement site inspections and dilapidation reports

·    Active communication between all parties including leading meetings with key stakeholders

·    Undertaking critical stage inspections throughout each project

·    Working with Consultants to identify project compliance

·    Adhering to KPI's

·    Establishing and maintaining relationships with customers and trade contractors


To be successful in this role you will possess the following selection criteria:

·    Located in Melbourne

·    Trade qualified preferred

·    Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office programs

·    Minimum 3 years experience within the building industry

·    Minimum 3 years experience within the Insurance industry

·    Take pride in producing high quality projects

·    Sound technical knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and Regulations

·    Excellent communication & time management skills

·    Ability to perform well under pressure

·    Have a professional appearance

·    Have a valid driver's licence

·    Have a current working with children check and police check (or willing to obtain prior to commencement)
