Administration Assistant

This is a full-time position based in CBD/Inner West Melbourne, close to public transport and amenities.

The position involves the following:

  • Organising job registrations and estimator bookings

  • Collating and submitting quotations

  • Raising invoices

  • Coordinate customer queries

  • Report collation

  • Answering and directing phone calls

  • Maintaining the supplier and customer database

  • Provide office support to field staff

  • General admin support as required
     

To be successful in this role you will possess the following:

  • Strong admin experience with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent communication & time management skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • A positive and hardworking attitude

  • Building/Insurance industry experience would be advantageous

  • Experience in Xero and WorkflowMax is advantageous but not essential

Carpenters

We are currently seeking the services of carpenters to assist us with work in the Greater Melbourne area to join our highly successful team on a contract basis.

Our ideal candidate must be a qualified carpenter with the ability to complete other small work aspects such as plastering, tiling, painting etc. A carpenter with previous experience in maintenance type works would be ideal.  Flexibility to work after hours occasionally is important (call-out rates apply).

As the bulk of our work is completed in people's homes, it is very important that a neat and tidy appearance, a professional, respectful attitude and exceptional communication skills are maintained at all times.

Own tools and trade vehicle are required and the hourly or daily rate will be established based on experience/abilities.

Supervisors

We are seeking self-motivated, proactive individuals based in Melbourne, to supervise and manage construction projects in the greater Melbourne area.  Estimating will also be required from time to time and there is scope to tailor the role for the right candidate so that they may grow with the company.

The position involves the following:

  • Overseeing budget cost planning, issuing PO's, forecasting and ensuring project completion is within set budgets and timelines

  • Review and interpretation of various drawings and specifications

  • Preparation and communication of work schedules

  • Site visits to make decisions concerning equipment needs, sequence of operations, crew size, and physical constraints of the site

  • Managing a range of projects concurrently, across the Commercial and Domestic sectors

  • Proactively utilising our job management software to provide regular, concise updates as well as keeping the management team informed

  • Undertaking pre-commencement site inspections and dilapidation reports

  • Active communication between all parties including leading meetings with key stakeholders

  • Undertaking critical stage inspections throughout each project

  • Working with Consultants to identify project compliance

  • Adhering to KPI's

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with customers and trade contractors

 

To be successful in this role you will possess the following selection criteria:

  • Located in Melbourne

  • Trade qualified preferred

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office programs

  • Minimum 3 years experience within the building industry

  • Minimum 3 years experience within the Insurance industry

  • Take pride in producing high quality projects

  • Sound technical knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and Regulations

  • Excellent communication & time management skills

  • Ability to perform well under pressure

  • Have a professional appearance

  • Have a valid driver's licence

  • Have a current working with children check and police check (or willing to obtain prior to commencement)
