We are currently looking for an experienced Construction Supervisor – Insurance Building to join our high performing team in Melbourne. Reporting to the Operations Manager – Construction & Estimating, this role will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the project works contractors and maintaining the project performance goals of complex building claims. The Construction Supervisor is a multi-site based position, working closely with the Client, Operations Manager, and Estimators in the preparation of project schedules, repair methodology, compliance requirements, and budgets to ensure the safe, quality, timely and cost effective delivery of projects.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise building reinstatement jobs allocated to your portfolio
  • Project management and proactively carrying out advance scheduling, managing forecasted work activities and ensuring project completion is delivered timely, quality and within set budgets
  • Actively updating progress with all key stakeholders, including job management system
  • Coordinate all logistical requirements including the issuing of PO’s and sales / invoice forecasting
  • Updating and reporting weekly to the Operations Manager regarding your allocated projects and on-site activity
  •  Managing client expectations, providing periodic updates, ensuring the best customer experience by building strong customer relationships through communication
  • Maintaining all necessary WHS site audits, risk assessments and carrying out risk mitigation procedures
  • Preparation of SWMS and conduct Toolbox meetings/Site Safety Works as required
About You
  • 3 years plus project management experience in commercial, residential and strata construction

  • Understanding of relevant Building codes, Australian standards, State legislation and the Insurance Industry

  • Very strong communication skills, organizational skills and strong attention to detail

  • A commitment to safety with sound knowledge of Health & Safety policies and procedures

  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills

  • Experience in working directly with clients, building consultants, trades and suppliers

  • A trade preferably carpentry background.
