We are currently offering a career path opportunity for someone highly motivated to join our Desktop Solutions team in Melbourne as a Construction Repair Cordinator. Reporting to the Operations Manager – Construction & Estimating, this role will be responsible for undertaking a variety of Commercial and Domestic building insurance rectification projects. You will have full exposure to and support from the broader Ethos Building team, including Claims, Construction Supervisors and Estimators

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of claim repairs on a desktop basis
  • Oversee budget cost planning, issuing PO’s, forecasting, and ensuring project completion is within set budgets and timelines
  • Review and interpretation of various drawings and specifications
  • Manage a range of projects concurrently, across the Commercial and Domestic sectors
  • Manage and supervise concurrent building and restoration reinstatement projects
  • Proactively utilise our job management software to provide regular, concise updates as well as keeping the management team informed
  • Manage and ensure compliance with Ethos SWMS policy that a SWMS be in place for all high-risk activities
  • Actively communicate between all parties including leading meetings with key stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers and trade contractors
  • Efficiently and profitably complete projects while maintaining high standards
  • Promote cost saving techniques and innovations
  • Undertake afterhours make safe on a roster basis scenario, in conjunction with all Construction Supervisors/Repair Coordinators
  • Assist in other areas of the business as the need arises
About You
  • Good computer literacy
  • Very strong communication skills, organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • A proactive attitude with a high level of initiative, drive and leadership
  • A commitment to safety with sound knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills to deal with issues encountered across multiple areas within a complex environment
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload with effective diary management
  • Willingness to contribute within a team environment and engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience in negotiation, facilitating and collaboration with multiple stakeholders
